Photography is the perfect medium for story-telling. That’s exactly why I’m obsessed with abandoned places and antiques – not to mention documenting people’s weddings. This engagement shoot took place at the Beach Motel on Lakeshore Boulevard in Etobicoke. It sadly doesn’t exist any more but I managed to squeeze in an engagement photoshoot before it was torn down to make way for, surprise-surprise, condos.
This was a lighthearted conceptual shoot. The newlyweds are off on their honeymoon. When they get to their quaint beach motel they discover that it’s no longer open. The wife is not impressed. A little humour, a great location – it’s one of my favourites. Congrats D&K!
